About the authors

Greg Cornfield runs a management consultancy firm based in Hong Kong and writes a weekly column for searchstorageasia.com. He has 40 years’ experience in the IT industry. Most recently he was the Asia Pacific Vice President for COPAN Systems (one of the early developers of MAID technology). Prior to COPAN, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager for Hitachi Data Systems‘ Asia Pacific and Latin America business. Prior to that, he was an Advisory Systems Engineer at IBM. His other interests are gadgets and golf.

Allan Tan is the Content Director for a number of online publications at Questex Asia Ltd, a subsidiary of Questex Media Group in Newton, MA. In addition to regularly writing for publications like Enterprise Innovation, SearchSMBAsia, SearchStorageAsia and SearchSecurityAsia, he also manages the online strategy for Asia. You can also see some of his writings on ArticlesBase.com and TechinAsia. Prior to joining Questex Asia, he was Marketing Director for Asia at Hitachi Data Systems. He has held other business and technical positions including Account Director at Euan Barty Associates, Senior Industry Analyst at Gartner Group, Sales Manager at Encore Computer HK Ltd and First International Computer (HK) Ltd. His first job in Hong Kong was as MIS Manager for Tech Pacific HK Ltd.
